Rich Pins Pinterest Setup in Five Minutes
Rich pins can drastically change the blogging traffic you receive from pinterest. Rich pins pull additional information from your site such as your name, a bold title, favicon, even recipe ingredients. Setup is easier than you can imagine! Pinterest is one of the top growing social networks for bloggers. A lot of different bloggers will say 50% of their traffic if not more will come from pinterest if done correctly. Rich pins are a great way to increase your pinterest reach and double your pinterest followers in the long run.
What to do:
- SEO Yoast – Most bloggers use SEO Yoast as their SEO plugin to customize meta description, site titles, post titles, favicon, and more. This is the best plugin I’ve used for SEO and it’s very user friendly. Go to your SEO Yoast plugin in WordPress and make sure your Advanced Settings Page is Enabled. See Below:
- Go to the Pinterest Validator:
Go to the Pinterest Rich Pin Validator (CLICK HERE). Submit a link to one of your blog posts in the validator url section. Click Validate.
3. Click Apply Now
Make sure to Click apply now. Pinterest will then look over your application for rich pins and send out your approval pretty quickly. Mine took 15 minutes.
